Responsibilities:

·       Oversees the daily operations of delivery teams, store warehouse employees, and furniture repair technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while maintaining a high level of customer service.

·       Ensure compliance to company policy and FMCSA/DOT guidelines for commercial motor vehicle operations.

·       Constant monitoring of delivery routes to maximize efficiency, reconciling opportunities as they arise, all while maintaining on-time performance.

·       Investigate and address delivery-related incidents, including property damage, vehicle accidents, or injuries, and implement corrective actions.

·       Maintain accurate inventory records by auditing process compliance

·       Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations and proper handling of products.

·       Ensure that the delivery trucks and service vehicles are serviced at the appropriate service intervals and the equipment is always kept clean internally and externally.

·       Ensure store warehouse housekeeping, safety, security, organization and sanitation are at an acceptable level daily.

·       Work closely with fleet maintenance to ensure vehicles remain in compliance with DOT inspection requirements.

·       Train and develop employees, providing guidance on safety, quality standards, and operational procedures to include customer interactions.

·       Collaborate with Customer Experience, Sales, Purchasing and Operations to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

·       Make recommendations to the VP of Operations on programs to improve operations. 

·       Develop and direct programs to maintain cost-effective operations

·       Track and report key performance metrics for delivery, furniture service and store warehouse operations.

·       Promoting new methods to reduce damage to products, equipment, and facilities

·     Conduct team/departmental meetings to ensure employees are educated on departmental issues and aware of the company's goals and objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

·       Participate in a daily operational meeting

·       Participate in a daily cross departmental meeting

·       Facilitate recurring team and/or departmental meetings

Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma

·       3+ years of experience in delivery operations management.

Required Skills:

·       Must have good verbal and written communication skills

·    Good coaching, guiding, and developmental skills

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

·    Effective interpersonal communication skills.

·    Lead and direct others to generate expected results

·    Management of resources to optimize – equipment, facilities, employees, methods and materials

·    Effective time management and organizational skills

·    Respond professionally in situations with difficult employees and internal or external customer issues or inquiries.

·       Attention to detail

·       Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weakness to alternative solutions

·       Must be able juggle multiple tasks/demands

·       Must have a clean motor vehicle record

·       Must have the ability to drive a non-cdl commercial box truck

·       Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for warehouse and delivery operations

·       Obtain required valid company-issued powered industrial vehicle license.

·       Must be able to manipulate 250 lbs. or more

·       Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and reach

·       Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time
